Einstein Bros Bagels

Einstein Bros came to us with a challenge: showcase the beautiful chaos that is mornings with kids while positioning Einstein as a reliable breakfast partner.

Working closely with the brand and our long time collaborators, One of One, we built a two part campaign to remind parents that just because mornings are hard doesn’t mean breakfast has to be.

The numbers...

Stacked :30

The :30 hero spot sets the tone for the entire campaign. Through a series of vignettes, we paint a picture of what getting out of the door by 8am actually looks like for most families with young kids. With nearly everyone involved in the creative process being a parent there was no shortage of real life scenarios to pull from!

Working with RECREATION was a fantastic experience. They're a team of creative problem solvers with a true collaborative style who efficiently produce strong work.

Snackable moments

To capture seven distinct :15 spots in a single production day, every shot needs two work hard. In a series of short vignettes we paired little moments of morning chaos with premium tabletop and process shots to create a problem + solution storyline that on-the-go parents would immediately connect with.

Scaling up

With a deliverables list this large, efficiency wasn’t just important, it was everything. To get it done on time and on budget, we needed to rethink our process from the ground up, developing new workflows and embracing new tools that would allow us to move faster without sacrificing quality.

Here’s how we did it…

AI Boosted Creative

We built a fully custom AI model, training it on a mix of newly captured and existing brand imagery. This gave us the ability to create virtually unlimited sandwich lineups and hero images with complete creative control. More importantly, it eliminated the need to capture dozens of additional food setups in camera, dramatically reducing production complexity while freeing up both time and budget for other areas of the campaign.

Meta & Display Ads

Using a mix of stills pulled from video, the brand’s existing asset library and our custom AI model we were able to efficiently create a library of dozens of static and animated Meta and Display ads. And all without needing any additional photography.

Omni-Channel Ready

Knowing the content needed to live on every platform, we shot ‘open-gate’ on a large sensor camera, framing for 4 different aspect ratios to ensure nothing got lost in versioning. This gave us maximum flexibility in post and allowed us to move quickly through our boards on set without needing to constantly reframe.

Process Process Process

We used our proprietary HUB system to keep everything in one place and everyone on the same page. Powered by a combination of smart documents, decades of production experience, AI tools, battle tested workflows and good old fashioned communication, this is how the wheels stay on no matter what. We see project management as an art form and projects like this not only put our processes to the test but help us improve on them.

Strategic Collaboration

One thing that made this project unique and such a success was that we collaborated closely with the brand and the agency from the very start. Our friends at One of One brought us into the conversation early on, before the strategy was fully baked, allowing us to help shape creative concepts around the realities of the budget, timeline, and deliverables from day one.

Too often, production teams are brought in after ambitious ideas have already been developed, creating friction when those ideas don’t align with the available resources. This project was different. We built a shared vision grounded in what was truly achievable, meaning we never had to scale back, cut corners or pivot. With that alignment, we could plan with precision while maximizing every dollar and every hour on set. The result was a faster, more efficient process that allowed us to deliver exactly what the client expected.
